Edge Asset Management (FSP 46415) is an Independent Financial Services who formally listed their three investment and retirements funds on 1 September 2016. CEO and Key Individual, Ed Gutsche, said that “A Category 2 license is applied for and awarded to investment management companies who ‘fit the proper requirements’ in terms of its experience, operational ability, competency and financial soundness.”
Edge Asset Management partnered with a subsidiary business of the Efficient Group, Boutique Collective Investments (BCI), to assist with choosing and managing investment strategies. The process, which started in 2007, involved market and product research as well as lots of time designing the funds and risk-return ratios chosen which allowed them to develop three risk profiled funds namely Edge Cautious, Edge Balanced, and Edge Managed-Aggressive.
The funds have been designed based on risk profiling and exposure to various asset classes from equities to cash, bonds and property. The Cautious fund includes the lower risk asset classes such as cash and bonds as well as a low exposure to equity and property. The Managed-Aggressive fund has a higher exposure to equities and property and lower exposure to cash and bonds.
This performance alone has put Edge in a class of its own, however high performance and the pursuit of excellence is part of Edge’s continuous drive to focus on core business and investment values. Edge has several short and long term goals, however Ed Gutsche said that Edge aims to achieve its corporate and client investment goals by “Aiming to achieve high returns at low risk by focusing on values such as integrity, consistency and trust.”
All three (3) portfolios are Regulation 28, or Retirement Fund approved and they are brilliantly diversified across all asset classes, local and offshore.
